Joe MacDonald's paper accepted for 'The Making of the Humanities VI' conference

Classics PhD Student, Joe MacDonald, has recently had his paper accepted by the Society for the History of Humanities for 'The Making of the Humanities VI' conference at the University of Oxford in September. MacDonald’s paper is titled “The most storied facelift in Malibu: understanding the history of restoration through the Lansdowne Heracles” and is derived from some of the research he did at the Getty Villa last summer.

The conference brings together scholars and historians interested in the history of a wide variety of disciplines, including archaeology, art history, historiography, linguistics, literary studies, media studies, musicology, and philology, tracing these fields from their earliest developments to the modern day.
