Transgressive Language in the Ancient World

On Friday, January 27th, at 4:15 PM in Busch 18, as Jennifer Wiebe and Constantine Karathanasis present for the Classics Department and guests papers they will deliver next month at a Graduate Colloquium entitled "Transgressive Language in the Ancient World," to be held at the University of Colorado, Boulder.  Jennifer Wiebe will speak on "Fearing the Feminine: Depictions of Male Dominance in Lucian’s True Story,” Constantine Karathanasis on "Concubinus in Denial: Banter, Ritual, and Heteronormativity in Catullus 61.”
