"The 'Naughty Boy of Attic Syntax'? Xenophon and Greek Prose Style"

On March 23, 2018, Coulter George (Professor of Classics, University of Virginia) will give a lecture on Greek literature and language, entitled "The 'Naughty Boy of Attic Syntax'? Xenophon and Greek Prose Style." Professor George is the author of Expressions of Agency in Ancient Greek (CUP, 2005) and of Expressions of Time in Ancient Greek (CUP, 2014). His research interests include the historical development of the Greek language, Greek syntax, and the role of bilingualism in shaping Jewish and Christian Greek. His current project is a linguistic history of Greek prose style
